The event will be centred in the Plaza de la Música – Jerónimo Saavedra, where the City Council has installed a giant screen so that fans can follow the match in a festive atmosphere.
The mayor, Carolina Darias, supervised the final details of the setup this Sunday, accompanied by the Councillor for Sports, Carla Campoamor, and the manager of the Municipal Institute for the Promotion of Physical Activity and Sport (IMD), Eloy García. The mayor encouraged citizens to attend the venue to share what she described as an opportunity to experience a historic moment in Spanish sports.
Special security and mobility device
The City Council has designed a special security, mobility, and cleaning device to cater to the high influx of people expected during the afternoon and evening. The aim is for the event to proceed normally and for attendees to enjoy the match in a public space prepared for the occasion.
The Plaza de la Música has already been the scene of other major sporting celebrations, such as the victory in the 2010 World Cup in South Africa and the 2024 European Championship. With this new event, the City Council aims to replicate that collective experience and provide an environment where families, young people, and the elderly can share the match in a spirit of togetherness.
Fan zone from 18:00
Activities will begin two hours before the match, at 18:00, with the opening of a fan zone that will include offerings for all audiences. The broadcast of the match will be the main attraction, but attendees are expected to arrive early to enjoy the pre-match atmosphere.
For the residents of the capital, this is an opportunity to watch the final in a festive environment without needing to travel to another part of the island. The City Council reminds that the use of public transport is recommended to access the area, given the expected high concentration of people.
