Emergency services located the 15-year-old in perfect condition, whose disappearance in the Playa Blanca area mobilised the Civil Guard, Local Police, and a helicopter.
An extensive search operation by land, sea, and air successfully located the missing 15-year-old on Friday night in the Playa Mujeres area of Playa Blanca (Lanzarote). The young person was found in perfect health and did not require medical assistance.
The Lanzarote and La Graciosa Consortium for Security and Emergencies reported that the alert was received at 18:48 through the Emergency and Security Coordinating Centre (CECOES), which notified of the disappearance that occurred approximately two hours earlier.
A response operation was immediately activated, which included the Consortium's drone unit, Civil Guard personnel, Local Police, and the MI21 helicopter, which supported aerial search efforts. All resources were coordinated under the direction of CECOES.
Upon arrival, the teams maintained contact with the minor's parents to gather information about the circumstances of the disappearance. The search efforts focused on the Playa Mujeres area, a coastal zone with difficult access in some sections.
Ultimately, it was a ground team that located the young person in perfect health. The officers accompanied him to the location where his family was, where an initial assessment confirmed that he did not need medical attention.
The rapid mobilization of resources allowed the incident to be resolved within a few hours, preventing the night from complicating the search. The Consortium for Security and Emergencies highlighted the coordination between the different bodies and the effectiveness of the deployed operation.
Such operations are frequently activated on the island, especially during the tourist season when the influx to beaches and natural areas increases. Authorities remind the importance of staying calm and notifying immediately in case of any disappearance.
The minor, whose name has not been disclosed, is now with his family. No additional incidents have been reported, nor has any investigation been opened regarding the causes of the disappearance, as it is a case without apparent criminal relevance.
