The Tgas Las Caletillas station in Candelaria offers the cheapest 95 octane petrol in the province this Saturday at €1.228 per litre. In Santa Cruz, the most economical diesel can be found at Canary Oil, priced at €1.315.
Tenerife drivers looking to fill up without breaking the bank have several options across the island this Saturday. According to updated data from the Ministry of Ecological Transition, accessed through the official geoportal, the cheapest 95 octane petrol in the province is located in the municipality of Candelaria.
The Tgas Las Caletillas service station, situated on the access road to Caletillas number 14.1, offers this fuel at €1.228 per litre. Close behind are E.S. Océano Santa Cruz and Canary Oil, both in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, with a price of €1.245 per litre.
Cheapest diesel in Santa Cruz
For diesel vehicles, the cheapest diesel of the day is served at the Canary Oil station, located at Subida al Mayorazgo street, 7, in the capital of Tenerife. There, the litre of diesel costs €1.315. In second place is Tgas-Tu Trébol, both in Adeje and in the El Mayorazgo Industrial Estate in Santa Cruz, with a price of €1.318.
Premium diesel, a more refined option for high-performance engines, also has its most economical point in Santa Cruz: the E.S. Océano Santa Cruz station, on Panamá street, 9, sells it for €1.315 per litre. A price that, compared to the rest of the list, seems almost like a bargain.
98 octane petrol: the most expensive, but with options
Those needing 98 octane petrol, the highest octane rating, also find the best offer in the capital. Both E.S. Océano Santa Cruz and Canary Oil sell it for €1.345 per litre. In Adeje, Tgas-Tu Trébol offers it at €1.348, just three cents more expensive.
The difference between the cheapest 95 octane petrol and the cheapest 98 octane petrol is €0.117 per litre. For a 50-litre tank, that means a saving of almost €6 if opting for the former. Not bad for a Saturday in July when many take the opportunity to get their cars ready before the holidays.
Prices, however, are those recorded as of today and may vary throughout the day. The Ministry's platform allows for real-time consultation of rates at all service stations in the country, a useful tool for more frugal drivers.
For residents of Candelaria, the 95 octane petrol at €1.228 provides a relief in a context of volatile prices. And for those in Santa Cruz, the diesel at €1.315 is an incentive to fill up before prices rise. In any case, it’s advisable to check the geoportal before leaving home: a small detour can translate into significant savings.
