The State Meteorological Agency forecasts a sunny Sunday in the Tenerife capital, with highs of 30 degrees and a feels-like temperature of 32. The wind will be light from the south.

The thermometers in Santa Cruz de Tenerife will register up to 30 degrees on Sunday, according to the latest prediction from the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET). The day will be mostly clear, with some intervals of high clouds that will not obscure the sun.

The minimum temperature will be around 21 degrees, although the feels-like temperature will reach 32 degrees during the peak hours of the day, so the thermometers may be misleading. The wind, coming from the south, will remain calm, with no notable gusts.

Progressive rise until Tuesday

On Monday, the sky will start cloudless, but from midday clouds will begin to appear, with no rain expected. Temperatures will rise even further: the maximum will reach 34 degrees and the minimum will stay at 23. The maximum feels-like temperature will be 32 degrees.

On Tuesday, the thermal rise will consolidate. The thermometer will reach a maximum of 35 degrees, with minimums of 24. The sky will be slightly cloudy throughout the day, and the wind will blow lightly from the north. There is no rain forecast for any of the three days.

Recommendations for residents

In light of these temperatures, the Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council reminds the importance of staying well-hydrated, avoiding sun exposure during peak hours, and protecting the most vulnerable groups, such as the elderly and children. The capital's beaches, like Las Teresitas, will be a good refuge for those seeking relief.

AEMET's data, updated from numerical models, are provisional and may be subject to changes in the coming hours. It is recommended to consult the agency's official page to follow the evolution.
