Originally from Vega de Río Palmas, Antonio Ravelo is a social graduate and labour lawyer. He has combined his profession with an intense involvement in the associative and cultural movement of the island. In 1992, he founded the Rondalla Virgen de La Peña, made up of residents from his hometown.
His connection with folklore began at a young age. For several years, he taught Canarian music classes at the Betancuria headquarters through the Folklore Area of the Cabildo. Additionally, he was part of various orchestras for nearly twenty-five years, participating in festivities across the island and other parts of the Archipelago.

Since 2002, he has lived in Puerto del Rosario, but maintains a close bond with Vega de Río Palmas. His appointment as announcer represents recognition of his career deeply linked to the town that hosts the main cultural celebration of Fuerteventura each year.
