The German group CBR Service GmbH, owner of Street One and Cecil, has opened a new store in Playa de Mogán, in the south of Gran Canaria, in partnership with local partner Simmis.

The south of Gran Canaria adds a new commercial attraction with the opening of an establishment by the German group CBR Service GmbH in Playa de Mogán. The store, which has already opened its doors, sells the brands Street One, Cecil, and the men's line Street One Men, and reinforces the company's presence in the Canary Islands.

The project has been driven by the local partner Simmis, led by Rajesh and his management team, in collaboration with the teams from the CBR Fashion Group. Rafa Frau, Country Manager of the brands in the territory, has highlighted the joint effort to materialise the opening, which is part of the German firm's international expansion strategy.

Founded in the 1980s, CBR Service GmbH has established itself as a significant player in fast fashion and multichannel textile distribution. Its flagship brands, Street One (1983) and Cecil (1989), along with more recent lines like Street One Men and Street One Studio, supply thousands of retail outlets across Europe.

The arrival of this commercial concept in Playa de Mogán adds value to the economic fabric of the southern part of the island. The store offers an updated textile selection for both residents and tourists, and contributes to energising local commercial activity, generating new employment opportunities in the coastal municipality.

The initiative combines the operational experience of the German group with local entrepreneurial drive, reaffirming the southern region's ability to attract investments in quality retail. The opening takes place in an iconic tourist location, enhancing the area's appeal for major international brands.

With this opening, CBR expands its distribution network in the Canary Islands, where it already had a presence in other areas. The company continues its growth plan in the Spanish market, focusing on destinations with high tourist traffic like the south of Gran Canaria.

The store adds to the commercial offering of Playa de Mogán, which includes fashion, dining, and service establishments, attracting a diverse audience. Residents of Mogán and tourists visiting the area will have access to the collections of the German group's brands, known for their contemporary style and value for money.

The Mogán City Council has positively evaluated the opening, which contributes to the economic dynamism of the municipality. The investment strengthens the positioning of the south of Gran Canaria as a commercial destination, beyond the traditional tourist appeal of sun and beach.

The collaboration between the German group and local partner Simmis has been key in overcoming logistical and administrative hurdles. Store managers are confident that the reception will be good, given the profile of the customers frequenting the area.

The opening of this establishment represents another step in CBR's internationalisation, which continues to explore new locations in southern Europe. For the Canary Islands, the arrival of a firm backed by international investment funds is a sign of confidence in the local market.
