A video circulating on social media since the weekend shows a hooded man stabbing a door of a house in Punta Mujeres, Haría. The Civil Guard is investigating the events, which occurred at least a week ago.
The Civil Guard of Haría is searching for the man appearing in a viral video stabbing multiple times at the door of a house on Las Salinas street in Punta Mujeres. The footage, recorded from a moving car, shows an individual in a hood with a large knife striking the door up to fourteen times before getting into the vehicle from which the scene was filmed.
A video spreading like wildfire
The video has rapidly spread through WhatsApp groups and other social media over the weekend, causing alarm among local residents. In the images, the man is seen walking calmly down the street, stopping in front of a house, and beginning to violently strike the door.
Municipal sources have confirmed that the events did not occur this past weekend, but were recorded at least a week ago. The Local Police of Haría were not aware of the incident until last Saturday, when the video began to go viral.
Investigation underway to identify the perpetrator
The Civil Guard of Haría, which has already opened an investigation, is trying to identify the author of the events. Sources from the armed institute have confirmed that they are working to clarify what happened and locate the hooded man.
At the moment, the reasons behind the attack on the door of the house are unknown. There are no reports of injuries or a robbery occurring inside. Local residents are concerned about safety, although authorities remind that this is an isolated incident and the investigation is ongoing.
Advice for residents of Punta Mujeres
The Haría City Council advises residents to remain calm and, in the event of any suspicious situation, to contact the Civil Guard or the Local Police. They also remind the importance of not sharing videos that could hinder the investigation or generate unjustified alarm.
The original video has been made available to the authorities, who are analysing the footage to obtain clues about the identity of the aggressor. Advances in the case are expected in the coming days.
