The orange alert for high temperatures activated by the AEMET does not affect the capital of Gran Canaria, which will experience a Monday with clear skies and pleasant temperatures of up to 25 degrees.

The capital of Gran Canaria wakes up this Monday under a clear sky, with no trace of the orange alert that the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has activated in other areas of the province. Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is spared from warnings of extreme heat and will enjoy a stable day, with maximum temperatures of 25 degrees and minimums of 21.

A Monday without clouds and with a northern breeze

According to the AEMET, the day will start with few clouds that will completely dissipate by midday, leaving a sunny outlook. The wind will blow from the north, which will soften the thermal sensation, reaching a maximum of 26 degrees and a minimum of 22. The city's residents will be able to enjoy a pleasant atmosphere for walking or exercising outdoors.

In comparison with other municipalities on the island, such as Telde, where maximums of 30 degrees are expected, the capital remains at more moderate values. The orange alert, which implies significant risk to the population, has been confined to areas in the interior and south of the island, without affecting the capital's coast.

Tuesday and Wednesday: stability without surprises

The forecast for Tuesday points to a mostly clear day from dawn, although cloud cover will decrease after 12:00. Maximum temperatures will rise slightly to 26 degrees, while minimums will remain at 21. The maximum thermal sensation will reach 28 degrees, and the wind will continue blowing from the north.

On Wednesday, the trend of stability will continue, with mostly clear skies throughout the day and temperatures between 23 and 27 degrees. The northern breezes will be light, making the heat bearable. No precipitation is expected at any time, so outdoor plans are not at risk.

Recommendations for hot days

Although the capital is not under alert, the AEMET reminds that on days of high temperatures it is important to stay well hydrated, avoid sun exposure during peak hours, and pay attention to vulnerable groups such as the elderly and children. In areas where there is an orange alert, it is recommended to take extra precautions.

For residents of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the only drawback could be the northern breeze, which may be felt more strongly in some coastal areas. However, nothing can overshadow a sunny Monday with good temperatures.
