The fourth edition of Burger Fest arrives from July 17 to 19 at Plaza de Canarias, in Parque Santa Catalina. Over 25 burger joints and food trucks will participate with exclusive and award-winning recipes.

Plaza de Canarias, in the heart of Parque Santa Catalina in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, will become the epicentre of gourmet burgers from July 17 to 19. The Burger Fest celebrates its fourth edition with over 25 exhibitors, live music, and activities for the whole family, establishing itself as one of the most anticipated culinary events of the summer in the capital of Gran Canaria.

Champion and exclusive burgers

Among the standout offerings is La Shogun, from El Galeón by La Cocina del Pirata & Richas, chosen as the Best Burger of Burger Fest Canarias 2026 by public vote. This food truck travels across Spain, presenting a grilled meat patty with Shropshire cheese sauce, Emmy-style Shogun sauce, homemade caramelised onion, majorero cheese, and brioche bread.

From Tenerife comes Smash Hub Tenerife with its South Carolina BBQ 2.0, proclaimed champion of Spain in 2026. Its recipe includes 150 grams of aged ribeye steak matured for 50 days, Monterey Jack cheese, smoked pork belly with cherry wood, Sichuan pickled cucumber, South Carolina barbecue sauce, roasted garlic mayonnaise, and chicharrón powder.

Another notable participant is Madre Mía! Burgers, from El Médano, a three-time champion of Burger Fest (Santa Cruz 2023, Médano 2024, and La Laguna 2024). Their offering is Malcriada, a burger with aged meat, pickled onion, melted cheese, bacon jam, secret sauce, and foie shavings.

Flavours for all tastes

Mostazza Beer, winner in 2024 and silver at Burger Fest 2025, presents the Californication Burger, featuring potato brioche bread, 170 grams of dry aged meat, American cheddar cheese, pork jam, Californication sauce, crispy corn bits, and red onion and pickle relish.

The event will offer exclusive recipes created for the occasion, some available only during the three days of the festival. Attendees will be able to taste creations from burger joints arriving from various parts of the Canary Islands and the mainland, many of which have won awards at national championships and specialised festivals.

In addition to the gastronomic offerings, Burger Fest will feature live music and activities for all ages, making it an ideal plan to enjoy with family or friends. Admission is free, and burger prices will range from 8 to 15 euros, as confirmed by the organisers.

A festival that grows every year

Burger Fest started in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria as a small event and, in just four editions, has become a gastronomic reference in the archipelago. The Plaza de Canarias fills every July with burger lovers, who sample everything from the most classic recipes to the most daring ones. Last year, the festival attracted over 20,000 visitors, and projections for this edition suggest surpassing that number.

For the locals, it is an opportunity to try burgers from food trucks that are not usually on the island, such as those coming from Tenerife or the mainland. And for tourists, it is an added incentive to visit the city in the height of summer.

The event will be held from 17:00 to 23:00 hours on Friday the 17th and Saturday the 18th, and from 12:00 to 22:00 hours on Sunday the 19th. The organisation recommends arriving early to avoid queues, especially on Saturday, which tends to be the busiest day.
