The musical group celebrates its fifteenth anniversary with a wide range of festivals and events across the Canary Islands. The PP of Telde has publicly recognised its work in promoting popular culture.

La Parranda Los Goretes has reached fifteen years of uninterrupted activity, during which it has established itself as a pillar of folklore in Telde. The group has participated in numerous festivals and cultural gatherings both within and outside the municipality, carrying the name of the city to various corners of the archipelago.

A decade and a half of popular music

Since its founding, the parranda has brought together dozens of members who share a passion for traditional Canarian music. Its activities have not only helped to keep traditions alive but have also encouraged citizen participation and strengthened the social fabric through culture.

In these fifteen years, Los Goretes have performed on stages throughout the Canary Islands, becoming a reference for folklore lovers. Their repertoire, based on popular rhythms and songs, has been enthusiastically received by audiences of all ages.

Institutional recognition

On the occasion of the anniversary, the Popular Party of Telde has publicly congratulated the group. The party president, Mónica Muñoz, highlighted the value of their journey in an official statement.

Reaching fifteen years reflects the effort, enthusiasm, and commitment of many people who have made Los Goretes a true reference of our traditions, Muñoz stated.

The local leader also thanked the group for keeping Canarian popular music alive and strengthening Telde's cultural identity. The congratulations extended to the board, collaborators, family members, and supporters who have accompanied the group over the years.

A legacy that endures

For the PP, this anniversary represents a shared celebration for the neighbours who have enjoyed the music of Los Goretes at events and celebrations in the municipality. The group remains active and is preparing new performances for the coming months, with which they hope to continue spreading Canarian folklore.

Los Goretes have become an example of how popular culture can unite a community. Their musical legacy, based on oral tradition and the sounds of the islands, promises to continue resonating for many more years in the streets of Telde and beyond.
