The Canary company Aguas de Teror becomes the new official water of La Laguna Tenerife, in an agreement that covers the first team, youth categories, and campus. The signing event took place this noon in the Teresa de Bolívar square, in Teror.

La Laguna Tenerife has gained a new strategic ally for its sports project. The Canary company Aguas de Teror has become the new official water of the aurinegro club, in an agreement that encompasses both the first team and the youth categories, campus, and events linked to the entity. The signing was showcased this noon in the Teresa de Bolívar square, in Teror, with the presence of the presidents of both entities and other executives.

An event in Teror with the highest representatives

The event, directed by RNE journalist Norberto González, was attended by Sergio Nuez and José Agustín Arencibia, president and CEO of Aguas de Teror, respectively; as well as the club president, Aniano Cabrera, and the general director, Eusebio Díaz. The choice of location, the central square of Teror, was not coincidental: the company is headquartered in this Gran Canaria municipality, and the event aimed to strengthen the bond with the territory.

With this agreement, Aguas de Teror joins a long list of sponsors of the Tenerife club, but with added value: its status as a Canary brand with over 30 years of experience supporting sports in the Islands. The company has previously sponsored other teams and sporting events in the Archipelago, consolidating its image as a regional reference.

Statements from the protagonists: excitement and shared values

Sergio Nuez, president of Aguas de Teror, expressed his “excitement” about this new phase: “We consolidate our history and strengthen our position as a regional reference brand, supporting Canary sports and connecting with our people through sports.” He added that the agreement adds to over 30 years of support for Canary identity through sports.

José Agustín Arencibia, CEO, highlighted that “alliances like this help us promote shared values: effort, resilience, dedication, and teamwork, values that we also share with the rest of the Canarians.” He also emphasized that the commitment to sports symbolizes their alliance with Canary society.

From the club's side, Aniano Cabrera stated that “this sponsorship represents an important pillar to strengthen our project and face new and exciting challenges.” “It is a pride to have the backing of such a prestigious Canary brand that is deeply rooted in the Islands,” said the aurinegro president, who highlighted the shared values at both the sporting and social levels.

Eusebio Díaz, general director, valued “very positively having the support of Aguas de Teror” and noted that “anything that advances our project by creating synergies with companies of this magnitude is undoubtedly a firm step towards continued growth.”

Local angle: what does it mean for the fans?

For the followers of La Laguna Tenerife, this agreement means that from now on, the official water consumed in the pavilion and at club events will be from Aguas de Teror, a brand with a strong presence in Gran Canaria but looking to expand its notoriety in Tenerife. Additionally, the agreement includes the youth categories, so the young players from the academy will also benefit. The company has already announced plans for joint promotional actions and raffles among fans, according to club sources.

La Laguna Tenerife faces the upcoming season with participation in the Liga Endesa and European competitions, so this sponsorship reinforces its budget and brand image. The fans, for their part, will see the Aguas de Teror logo on training shirts and signage in the pavilion. The company, which has previously sponsored other Canary clubs, aims with this agreement to strengthen its regional character through direct connection with basketball fans across the Canary Islands.

The signing event concluded with a symbolic toast with Teror water, in a relaxed atmosphere that reflects the harmony between both entities. Now, we can only wait for the new season to begin to see how this alliance materializes on the court.
