The three football clubs in La Orotava have signed a framework agreement for the 2026-2027 season. The pact will benefit over 700 athletes and lays the foundation for stable collaboration.
The Unión Deportiva Orotava, Florida Club de Fútbol, and CD San Diego signed an institutional and sports collaboration framework agreement on Thursday for the 2026-2027 season. The event, held at the La Orotava town hall and presided over by Mayor Francisco Linares, marks a turning point in the relationships between the three clubs in the municipality.
The agreement, which comes into effect immediately and extends until June 30, 2027, with the possibility of extension, does not create economic obligations between the parties. It is strictly an institutional seal aimed at maximizing sports benefits in the Villa, as highlighted by the signatories.
After years of failed attempts to bring positions closer, the current boards have managed to open a new era of understanding. The document emphasizes that cooperation between strong institutions “is the best guarantee to ensure a solid future for Orotava football, placing the general interest above any particularity.”
