The podium was completed by Aimar Quintana (Eiser-Hirumet), just two seconds behind, and Iban Gutiérrez (Natural Greatness-Rali-Ale), 24 seconds behind. The close competition was the hallmark of an edition that has brought elite cycling back to the roads of northern Gran Canaria.
Iban Gutiérrez wins the last stage in Arucas
The third and final stage, covering 50 kilometres from Plaza de Santa Ana in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria to Arucas, was won by Iban Gutiérrez, who took 1:33:41. Following him across the line were Daniel González (Illes Balears Arabay) and Aimar Quintana, both finishing at the same time as the winner.
José Antonio Redondo finished in fourth place, a result that was enough for him to maintain the lead and secure the overall victory. The stage proceeded without notable incidents, with a peloton that remained compact until the final kilometres, where the teams of the favourites pushed hard to try to break the race.
The organisers, to ensure safety, extended the neutralised section and the competitive section finished at Alto de Fagajesto. Subsequently, the riders passed under the finish arch set up next to the Church of San Juan Bautista in Arucas, respecting the order of classification and competing in a sprint finish before numerous fans who gathered in the town centre.
Noam Escarabajal, best Canary Islands cyclist
In the secondary classifications, local cyclist Noam Escarabajal, also from Tenerife Bike Point-La Sede, won the regional classification as the best Canary Islands cyclist. Daniel Lado and Alberto González, both from Gran Canaria-EKD Bike, completed the podium of local riders, demonstrating the high level of island cycling.
Alejandro Paredes (El Bicho-Plataforma Central) took the mountain classification, ahead of Aimar Quintana and Iban Gutiérrez. The sprint classification went to Óscar Moscardó (Controlpack), followed by Aimar Quintana and Jon Zuburruti, both from Eiser-Hirumet.
In the team classification, the victory went to CCLLEIDA_DPEDROS, who surpassed Tenerife Bike Point-La Sede and Eiser-Hirumet, confirming their collective strength throughout the three days of competition.
