The Canary airline resumes the La Palma-Lanzarote route with up to 14 weekly flights and launches a direct connection to Fuerteventura starting from July 19, as part of a reinforcement of 70 extra flights per week in the archipelago.

Palmeros wishing to hop to Lanzarote or Fuerteventura this summer will find it easier than ever. Binter has activated its inter-island summer schedule with two key new features for the Beautiful Island: the resumption of the direct flight to Lanzarote and the launch of a non-stop connection to Fuerteventura, a route that does not exist directly for the rest of the year.

La Palma resumes direct flight to Lanzarote

Since early July, the route between La Palma and Lanzarote has 10 weekly flights, as reported by Binter. From the second half of July until early September, frequencies will increase to 14 links per week, which equates to an average of two flights daily. For local residents, this connection represents a significant time-saving by avoiding the usual stops in Gran Canaria or Tenerife.

The demand for seats between the two islands has grown in recent years, driven by both family reasons and inter-island tourism. Sources from the airline have indicated that the resumption of this route aims to improve territorial cohesion and provide agile alternatives for travellers.

New route to Fuerteventura from July 19

Starting from July 19, Binter will operate six direct flights per week between La Palma and Fuerteventura. This is a seasonal connection that the company is resuming and will last until early September. For the rest of the year, passengers wishing to travel between the two islands must make a stop, so this direct route provides logistical relief for both residents and tourists combining multiple destinations in their holidays.

For residents of Los Llanos de Aridane or Santa Cruz de La Palma, the new route opens the door to quicker getaways to the beaches of Fuerteventura without having to wake up early to catch a connecting flight.

“It is a connection that facilitates travel and boosts inter-island tourism,” said Binter's press office.

A reinforcement of 70 weekly flights across the Canaries

The Canary company has launched a global reinforcement of its inter-island network, adding an average of 70 extra weekly flights compared to the low season. In total, Binter will operate more than 1,700 flights per week within the archipelago, offering 126,220 seats, about 5,000 more than in June. This increase responds to the rise in travel between islands during July and August, both from residents and tourists.

For Canarians living in La Palma, this reinforcement means more options to visit family in Lanzarote or Fuerteventura without relying on tight schedules. Tickets are already on sale on Binter's website, its app, customer service phone, and travel agencies. As a practical tip, it is advisable to book in advance, especially for flights in the second half of July, when demand tends to spike. And, hey, if you’re one of those who plans holidays on the go, you might have to pay a bit more, but at least you’ll arrive directly.
