The lowest prices in Santa Cruz de Tenerife
The same CANARY OIL station also offers the most competitive diesel in the province, at 1.315 euros per litre. Nearby, in the Polígono Industrial El Mayorazgo, the TGAS-TU TRÉBOL petrol station sells gasoil at 1.318 euros, a nearly equally economical alternative. For 95 octane petrol, this second option is priced at 1.248 euros, just three cents more expensive than the leader.
As for 98 octane petrol, the best price in Tenerife is located in Candelaria. The TGAS station, on Carretera Acceso a Caletillas kilometre 14, sells the litre for 1.248 euros. In Santa Cruz, CANARY OIL offers it at 1.345 euros, a difference of nearly ten cents that is worth noting if your car requires this fuel.
Where to fill up in other islands?
In La Palma, the cheapest gasoil can be found in Santa Cruz de La Palma, at the PLENERGY station in the Polígono Industrial Mirca, at 1.455 euros per litre. For 98 octane petrol, the most affordable option is in Puntagorda, at the REPSOL petrol station on road LP-114 kilometre 78, with a price of 1.570 euros. In Fuencaliente, the PCAN station on road LP-2 offers 98 octane petrol at 1.577 euros.
The savings can be significant for drivers who travel long distances daily. For example, filling a 50-litre tank with 95 octane petrol at CANARY OIL costs 62.25 euros, while at an average petrol station on the island, with prices around 1.35 euros, the same tank would amount to 67.5 euros, a saving of over five euros.
Prices change frequently, so experts recommend checking comparison apps or websites before refuelling. However, for those living in Santa Cruz, CANARY OIL has become the must-stop this weekend. Who would have thought that filling up could be almost an act of rebellion against inflation?
The Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council reminds drivers that they can check updated prices on the municipal geoportal. Next week, prices are expected to remain stable, although the international crude market remains unpredictable.
