On the night of July 16, Playa de la Barca de Sotavento hosted the festival's opening with 4,500 people. The surprise performance of Luar La L, who jumped into the crowd three times, marked the evening.

La Carpa 2026 has started with a full house at Playa de la Barca de Sotavento in Jandía. The venue, with a capacity of 4,500 people, was packed to the rafters on the night of July 16, with the Bresh party as the host and the surprise performance of Luar La L, who engaged with the audience by jumping into the crowd on three occasions. The organisers highlighted that there were no incidents reported, despite the massive turnout.

An incident-free start with a festive atmosphere

The inaugural evening went smoothly, a fact that the organisers emphasise as one of the festival's great assets. According to sources from DN7 Music, the promoter running the event for the second consecutive year, the coordination between the production, security, and logistics teams was key to everything going perfectly. David Navarro, owner of DN7 Music, described this first night as "the appetizer for the many days of celebration that lie ahead."

The festival, which is consolidating itself as the reference event of the Canary summer, features 17 consecutive nights of music from July 16 to August 1. Additionally, it is part of the 38th World Windsurfing and Wingfoil Championship, which enhances the tourist and sporting appeal of Jandía during these weeks. For attendees from Fuerteventura and the other islands, this event represents a unique opportunity to enjoy international artists without leaving the Archipelago.

Diverse programming: from Ñengo Flow to The Jacksons

Following the successful start, the programming continues this Friday with the Fiesta Canaria Tropical, headlined by Lewis Potter alongside Alda, DJ Sammyto, DJ Saúl Díaz, and The Big A DJ. On Saturday, the Fiesta Arehucas Noche Blanca will feature Aythami Campos and Ricardo Araujo. On Sunday, the Fiesta Absolut offers free entry with The Big A DJ, DJ Antonio Boada, and DJ Naupe. On Monday, the Fiesta Exotic Night will also be free.

On Tuesday the 21st, Ñengo Flow will take the stage for the most anticipated urban night of the lineup. On Wednesday the 22nd, the festival's main event arrives: The Jacksons, the historic band that will perform their only show in the entire Canary Archipelago. David Navarro has described this concert as "a milestone not only for La Carpa but for all of the Canaries." Music lovers thus have the chance to see a legend live without needing to travel to the Peninsula.

The programming continues on Thursday the 23rd with Wade, Fran Hernández, Los Canarios, Miguel Bastida, Andrés Herrera, and Cris Ocaña; on Friday the 24th with a salsa night featuring Huey Dunbar, the historic voice of DLG, alongside DJ Evando Moreira; and on Saturday the 25th with the Fiesta Havana Club, headlined by Lion Fiah, "the king of dancehall," in his exclusive for Spain. On Sunday the 26th, the Fiesta Beefeater London offers free access, as does the Noche Latina on Monday the 27th.

On Tuesday the 28th, Aarón Sevilla, Alba Dreid, and DJ Álex Monserrat will perform, and on Wednesday the 29th, Las Chicas del Klan will present an exclusive show alongside The Big A DJ, with free entry. The final stretch begins on Thursday the 30th with the Oser Club session, featuring Chris Di Perri, Héctor Couto, Los Canarios, Tony Guerra, Tuff Dub, and Vitouk. On Friday the 31st, the Fiesta Red Bull will be headlined by Omega alongside DJ Tony Bob.

La Carpa 2026 will close on Saturday, August 1, with DJ Candy Boy —official DJ of Yandel—, DJ Fer Villanueva, creator of the viral phenomenon "Camisa 10", and Ricardo Araujo, in a final night that will also include a raffle for trips from Baleària Canarias. For those who missed out, tickets for some paid nights are still available at tureservaonline.es, at Oasis Wildlife (La Lajita), and at the Bocafé café in the Las Rotondas Shopping Centre.
