The City Council of Puerto del Rosario will celebrate a new edition of Luna Llena at the Hornos de Cal in El Charco on Friday, July 24, featuring humour, music, and gastronomy.
On Friday, July 24, from 20:00 to 00:00 hours, the Hornos de Cal in El Charco will become the epicentre of nightlife in Puerto del Rosario with the return of Luna Llena, an event that has become a tradition in the summer calendar of the capital of Fuerteventura.
Canarian humour and tribute to Hombres G
The programme will kick off with a musical session by DJ Cat, who will set the rhythm for the sunset. Following this, the Canarian comedian Aarón Gómez will take to the stage, known for his direct style and ability to connect with the island audience.
The grand finale will feature a tribute to Hombres G, the 80s band that marked several generations with hits like 'Devuélveme a mi chica' and 'Venezia'. The band will perform their greatest hits so that attendees can sing and dance under the moonlight.
In addition to music and humour, the event will include a craft market, a food truck area, a bar, and a children's space with activities for the little ones. All this in a privileged setting, by the sea and with the ancient lime kilns as a backdrop.
Support for local commerce and hospitality
The Councillor for Tourism, Rosa Rodríguez, explained that "Luna Llena has established itself as one of the most anticipated activities for revitalisation in the municipality, allowing us to offer a quality leisure proposal that encourages citizen participation and generates activity in the commerce and hospitality sectors of Puerto del Rosario".
Rodríguez added that "we continue to work to promote initiatives that turn our public spaces into places of coexistence, with a diverse and attractive programme that invites both residents and visitors to enjoy the capital".
The mayor, David de Vera, also wanted to highlight the value of this initiative: "Luna Llena represents the model of city we continue to support: a dynamic, participative, and open capital, where culture, leisure, and economic activity coexist to create opportunities and strengthen life in our public spaces".
A plan for the whole family
The event is free and designed for all audiences. Residents of Puerto del Rosario and tourists visiting the island during these days will be able to enjoy a magical night without needing to travel to large tourist hubs.
The City Council recommends arriving early to park and take advantage of the local gastronomic offerings. The dining area will feature typical Canarian products and options for all tastes.
With this new edition, Puerto del Rosario reaffirms its commitment to quality leisure that energises the local economy and offers entertainment alternatives for residents and visitors. The full moon in July promises to be, once again, the perfect excuse to gather, laugh, and enjoy the night in Fuerteventura.
