The State Meteorological Agency forecasts a Wednesday of morning clouds in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, with temperatures between 22 and 26 degrees and a thermal sensation of 29.
The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has announced that this Wednesday, July 15, the capital of Gran Canaria will wake up with very cloudy skies during the early hours, although the cloud cover will dissipate by noon to give way to a mostly clear afternoon and evening.
Stable highs and northern winds
Temperatures will range between a minimum of 22 degrees, recorded around 07:00, and a maximum of 26 degrees expected at 17:00. The thermal sensation, however, will reach 29 degrees, meaning residents will feel a bit more heat than what the thermometers indicate.
The wind will blow from the north throughout the day, which will help to cool the atmosphere in coastal areas. No precipitation is expected at any time during the day.
Clear and hot weekend ahead
Looking ahead to Thursday, the forecast points to a scenario of abundant clouds, with similar temperatures: maximums of 25 degrees and unchanged minimums. The maximum thermal sensation will be 27 degrees. On Friday, however, a sky with clouds will prevail and temperatures will range between 23 and 27 degrees, with no rain in sight.
The weekend will bring mostly clear skies on both Saturday and Sunday, with maximums of 26 degrees and minimums of 23. The wind will continue to blow from the north, ensuring a pleasant breeze for those enjoying the beaches or strolling through the city.
In other municipalities on the island, such as Telde, mostly clear skies are expected in the morning and clear in the afternoon, with temperatures between 20 and 29 degrees. In Santa Lucía de Tirajana, the skies will remain clear all day, with a minimum of 21 degrees and a maximum reaching 35 degrees, significantly higher than in the capital.
The data has been compiled by AEMET from its stations and prediction models and is considered provisional pending updates. For those with outdoor plans in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, it is best to bring a light jacket in the morning and protect themselves from the sun during the central hours of the day.
