The State Meteorological Agency forecasts clear skies and rising temperatures in the Tenerife capital, with highs of 30 degrees and a feels-like temperature of 32.
The thermometers in Santa Cruz de Tenerife will register a maximum temperature of 30 degrees this Wednesday, according to the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET). The day will unfold with completely clear skies and light easterly winds, inviting people to enjoy the outdoors.
The feels-like temperature, however, will be even higher: it will reach 32 degrees during the peak hours of the day, around 17:00. The minimums will remain at 22 degrees, providing a mild nighttime relief. The combination of sun and lack of clouds will make sun protection almost mandatory for those going outside.
Thursday and Friday: Stability with Some Clouds
For Thursday, AEMET predicts a very similar situation: clear skies and temperatures that will again touch 30 degrees at maximum. The minimums will again stay at 22 degrees, with a minimum feels-like temperature of 23. The wind will shift to the northeast but will remain light.
Friday will bring a slight change: the day will start with cloudy intervals, although with no chance of rain. Maximum temperatures will drop by one degree to 29, while minimums will rise to 23. The wind, again from the northeast, will blow with light intensity.
“Everything points to the weekend maintaining good weather, with pleasant temperatures and no precipitation,” sources from AEMET indicate.
Weekend: Sun and Clouds Alternating
On Saturday, the skies will present cloudy intervals for much of the day, but with no risk of rain. The maximum will be 28 degrees and the minimum will be 23. The light northeast wind will not be bothersome.
On Sunday, the skies will return to being slightly cloudy or clear, with a maximum similar to Saturday's (28 degrees) and a minimum that will remain at 23. The wind will shift to a northern component, also gentle.
For residents and visitors of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, this weather outlook is excellent news: beaches, terraces, and promenades will be the big winners. The forecast remains stable at least until Sunday, although AEMET reminds that this data is provisional and will be updated daily.
In short, those with outdoor plans this week in the Tenerife capital can rest easy: the sun will be the star, with temperatures typical of the Canary summer. Don’t forget the sunscreen and a bottle of water.
