The young Gran Canarian Silvia Bosch will be the main attraction of the II ITF W15 Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, which will take place from July 20 to 26 at the Gran Canaria Tennis & Pádel Center.

International women's tennis returns to Gran Canaria. The II ITF W15 Las Palmas de Gran Canaria will be held from July 20 to 26 at the facilities of the Gran Canaria Tennis & Pádel Center, with the participation of 32 players from around the world. The big novelty of this edition is the presence of local player Silvia Bosch, who will compete at home in front of her audience.

A golden opportunity for Canary tennis

After the success of the first edition, the tournament consolidates the island in the international calendar of the ITF Pro Circuit. For the Canary players, it represents a unique opportunity to face rivals from other countries without having to leave the archipelago. Bosch, who does not hide her excitement, assures that the level of the tournament is very high, but she will give her best.

The Gran Canarian player highlights the good moment that women's tennis is experiencing in the Canaries. In her opinion, the level of the players continues to grow thanks to the boost from competitions like this. "There are very good players and the level is getting higher and higher. Moreover, tournaments like this help us a lot because they allow us to compete and participate in important events without having to leave the Canaries," she explains.

Role models and expectations

When asked about her idols, Bosch points to Serena Williams as the player who has inspired her the most since she was little. The young Canary promise shows ambition: "I am very eager to compete and enjoy the experience. I know the level is very high, but I will give my all in every match and try to go as far as possible."

The tournament is not only a showcase for local talent but also a tourist and sporting showcase for the island. Tennis fans in Gran Canaria will have the opportunity to see future stars of the circuit in action and cheer for their representative at home.

The official presentation of the event will take place next Tuesday, July 14, at 11:00 at the Gran Canaria Tennis & Pádel Center. More details about the player lineup and match schedules will be revealed there.
