Assault after leaving work
According to a statement from the Superior Police Headquarters of the Canary Islands, the worker was approached by the three individuals, who stabbed him with knives to snatch a shoulder bag. Inside, he had personal documents and 450 euros in cash. Two witnesses saw the robbery and alerted the police, which allowed for an immediate search to begin.
The witnesses also reported that the detainees attempted to rob them of their mobile phones through intimidation, although they were unsuccessful. The swift action of the officers was key to locating the suspects.
Arrest in La Paterna
After gathering information from the witnesses and the victim, the Police managed to arrest the three youths in a residential building in the La Paterna area. During the search, officers recovered various items of clothing that were allegedly used in the crime, as well as a cutter and a large pointed object, consistent with the weapons described by the victims.
