The General Directorate of Justice reports that the performance issue of the Atlante procedural management system in the province of Las Palmas, which affected the courts since Wednesday, has been resolved.

The Atlante procedural management system, used by the Justice Administration in the Canary Islands, has regained its usual performance in the province of Las Palmas after an incident that lasted since last Wednesday. The General Directorate of Relations with the Justice Administration confirmed this Friday that the slowdown did not interrupt judicial activity, which remained operational at all times.

In Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the system functioned normally during those days, with no incidents reported. The malfunction was limited to the province of Las Palmas, where technicians worked to restore optimal service levels.

A Working Group to Address the Slowdown

Since the problem was detected, the General Directorate of Relations with the Justice Administration and the General Directorate of Digital Transformation of Public Services established a working group to continuously monitor the situation. In coordination with the companies responsible for the development, support, and maintenance of Atlante, the system's behaviour was analysed and the technological infrastructure was reviewed.

Adjustment and optimisation measures were applied progressively to avoid any risk to the integrity of the information. The aim was to ensure that judicial activity could continue during the analysis and resolution process.

A Key Technical Action

On Thursday, a technical action was carried out that allowed the normal performance levels to be restored. Subsequent checks showed a substantial improvement in response times and stable operation of Atlante in the judicial bodies of the province of Las Palmas.

Although the incident has been resolved, a reinforced monitoring of the system will be maintained over the coming days to ensure that problems do not recur. The courts in the province of Las Palmas, which include those in the capital Gran Canaria and other municipalities, are now operating normally.

For legal professionals and citizens processing procedures, this news is a relief. Atlante is a key tool for managing files, notifications, and electronic signatures, and its slowdown could cause delays in procedural deadlines. Now, with the system stabilised, judicial activity is returning to its usual pace.
