The announcement was made this Tuesday by the mayor, Francisco García, and the councillor for Festivities, Arminda Santana, after receiving the announcer at the Town Hall.
Arbelo, known for his social involvement and commitment to innovation and renewable energies, has prepared a speech titled 'The Memories That Unite Us'. As he revealed, the text will have five acts and will feature voices from Santaluceña women. "I will review many memories that are there; it is an opportunity to highlight the defence of social values, the values that our parents gave us, because around a celebration there are many people who do not appear on stage," explained the announcer.
Mayor Francisco García highlighted that "Antonio has the right profile because we all know his social involvement and because, in addition, he is an entrepreneur who bets on innovation and renewable energies, in line with the municipality and the Southeast Community." For her part, councillor Arminda Santana emphasised that "for us it is an honour to have Antonio because he is a reference, who always collaborates with small festivities and solidarity events."
The announcement, which will be read on October 16, will be the starting signal for festivities that will last until November 1. The councillor indicated that the programme will include "many events, concerts, activities for children and adults, the traditional rides and some surprises." The complete programme, which the Town Hall has been preparing for months, will be presented in the coming weeks.

"Since I received the news, I took it on as a challenge and I have already started writing," he stated. The announcer wants to highlight the festive aspect and the memory of the beach bars and the first open-air dances with Paco Guedes or Armonía, elements that are part of the collective memory of Vecindario.
