The Youth Department of Teror opens the registration period for August activities this Thursday, July 16, all free except for the camp. The programme includes water multi-adventure, ninja games, and cultural visits.
Young people from Teror aged between 12 and 30 can sign up from 16:00 on Thursday, July 16, for the activities scheduled for August within the programme 'In summer, your connection point'. Registration is done exclusively through the portal juventud.teror.es and most of the proposals are free, except for the Camp Islas Afortunadas.
Water multi-adventure and ninja games, the first events
On Monday, August 3, the Water Multi-adventure in Las Marañuelas kicks off, a day that includes kayaking, King Sup, and games on the sand. Departure from Teror will be at 8:45 and return at 14:15. This free activity aims to promote physical activity and healthy habits among young people, as well as values such as teamwork and respect for the marine environment.
On Fridays, August 7 and 21, two sessions of The Ninja Games will take place in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Each outing is limited to 18 young people, so those who register can only participate on one of the two dates. Departure is at 17:15 and return at 21:00. This free activity will test participants' agility, coordination, and strategy in a playful and technological environment.
Visit to the La Fortaleza archaeological site and swimming pool in Santa Lucía
On Tuesday, August 18, the proposal combines culture and leisure: a guided visit to the La Fortaleza Archaeological Park, declared a Cultural Asset of Interest, followed by a fun day at the outdoor municipal pool of Santa Lucía de Tirajana. Departure from Teror is at 8:00 and return at 17:00. This free activity aims to bring young people closer to the history and origins of Gran Canaria while promoting coexistence.
The Camp Islas Afortunadas, which will take place from August 24 to 28 at the Puerto Rico Sailing School, costs 60 euros for residents of Teror and 90 euros for non-residents, with limited spots for the latter. It is aimed at young people born between 2009 and 2012, and knowing how to swim is an essential requirement. The registration period for this activity has been open since June 24 and will close on July 8.
The Youth Councillor, Moisés Rodríguez, has highlighted that the programme is supported financially by the Education and Youth Department of the Cabildo of Gran Canaria and aims to provide attractive and educational leisure during the summer. Additionally, the NOA Project (Alternative Leisure Nights) complements the offer with additional activities for the youth of the municipality.
For those interested, registration is done through the youth portal of the Teror City Council. Spots are limited, so it is recommended to sign up as soon as possible. As a practical note, all free activities require prior registration and have established departure and return times from Teror.
The programme 'In summer, your connection point' has become an annual event for young people in Teror, who find in these proposals a healthy and enriching leisure alternative during the summer holidays. The variety of activities, from water sports to cultural visits, aims to satisfy the interests of a diverse audience and encourage active participation.
