The white and blue team has been concentrating since this Tuesday in Fuerteventura to play two friendly matches against RCD Espanyol and Sevilla FC, as part of their preparation for the Liga F Moeve.
The Costa Adeje Tenerife Egatesa has launched its preseason with a week-long training camp in Fuerteventura, which will run from this Tuesday, July 28, to Sunday, August 2. The team, managed by Yerai Martín, will take advantage of this stay to fine-tune their preparations ahead of the start of the Liga F Moeve, with two demanding friendly matches.
The first test will be on Wednesday, July 29, at 18:15 at the Municipal Stadium of Los Pozos, where the white and blue team will face RCD Espanyol. This match marks a milestone for the island, as it will be the first Women's First Division match held in Fuerteventura, thanks to the sponsorship of Coral Hotels.
The second friendly will take place on Saturday, August 1, at 17:30, this time in Lanzarote, where Tenerife will face Sevilla FC as part of the San Ginés Tournament, organised in collaboration with the Arrecife City Council. Both matches will allow the warriors to accumulate competitive minutes against top-tier national rivals.
Yerai Martín, the coach of the Tenerife team, has positively assessed the opportunity to hold this training camp. "It is a great opportunity for preparation. We will train and play two demanding friendly matches, and we will take the opportunity to work on what we have practiced so far," the coach stated.
Martín highlighted the level of the opponents, both established teams in Liga F that have strengthened well during the transfer market. "We are aware that these will be competitive friendlies and will serve as a good initial test," he added.
Regarding the first match against Espanyol, the coach assured that the team is prepared and that he will manage the workload to distribute minutes among all players. "We will also try to give minutes to players from the reserve team, who are completing the preseason with the first team and are working very well," he explained.
White and blue player Natalia Ramos also expressed her excitement about these initial challenges of the campaign. "We are excited, as we have the first two challenges of this campaign. It is a great opportunity to work, improve, and prepare the squad for a strong start to the season in Liga F," she stated.
Both matches will be broadcast live on Televisión Canaria, allowing fans to follow the first minutes of the white and blue preseason.
In addition to the matches, the Fundación Canaria Tenerife Costa Adeje has organised a football clinic in the municipality of El Cotillo on July 30 and 31. Aimed at girls aged 6 to 16, participants will enjoy sessions led by qualified personnel, focusing on technical learning, teamwork, and camaraderie.
The camp is supported by the Government of the Canary Islands, the Cabildo of Fuerteventura, Coral Hotels, and the Canary Foundation of the Inter-Island Football Federation of Las Palmas. It offers a maximum of 40 free places and includes breakfast, sports equipment, a gift kit from Tenerife Femenino, diplomas, and medals. Registrations are open until Tuesday, July 28, via an online form.
During the stay, the Coral Cotillo Beach hotel will become the epicentre of the white and blue preparation, hosting official training sessions and opening its doors for the football clinic. The hotel's state-of-the-art sports facilities will host official training sessions in the mornings, providing the players with a high-performance environment for their physical and tactical preparation.
