The Canary airline will offer nearly 18,800 seats between the islands and the Portuguese archipelago, with new frequencies from Lanzarote and reinforcements from Gran Canaria.

Binter has launched its summer programme between the Canary Islands and Madeira, which for the fifth consecutive year consolidates the connection between both archipelagos. The company is increasing its seat offer by 7% compared to last summer, reaching nearly 18,800 seats during July and August.

The direct routes connect the airports of Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, Tenerife South, Tenerife North, and Gran Canaria with Funchal. The main novelty of the season is the new frequency from Lanzarote, which will have two weekly flights on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

New frequencies from Lanzarote and reinforcement in Gran Canaria

Flights from Lanzarote will depart on Tuesdays at 13:00, arriving in Madeira at 14:45, and on Saturdays at 17:50, landing at 19:35. Fuerteventura maintains a weekly frequency on Saturdays, while Tenerife South continues with two connections on Mondays and Wednesdays.

From Gran Canaria, Binter is reinforcing its operations to eight weekly flights in each direction, with the addition of two flights on Sundays. The connection from Tenerife North remains twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays, during July and September.

Onboard service and free connections between islands

Passengers on these routes can enjoy a high-quality service, which includes a complimentary gourmet snack, comfort, and personalised attention. Additionally, Binter offers free connecting flights between any Canary airport, facilitating travel from any island in the archipelago.

The airline highlights the positive reception of these routes and the growing interest from both the Canary and Madeiran markets. The increase in capacity responds to the demand from travellers seeking direct options between both archipelagos.

The routes to Vitoria-Gasteiz and La Rioja celebrate one month

This week also marks the first month of the new routes that Binter launched for this summer, connecting the Canary Islands with Vitoria-Gasteiz and La Rioja. Both connections, with two weekly frequencies, expand travel options to the northern peninsula.

The route to Vitoria-Gasteiz, inaugurated on June 15, marks Binter's return to the Alava airport and consolidates its presence in the Basque Country, where it already operates flights to San Sebastián. The first flight to Logroño took off on June 18, incorporating La Rioja into the company's regular network of national destinations.

Canarians interested in travelling to Madeira or the northern peninsula can check schedules and book their tickets on Binter's website. The company recommends doing so in advance to secure a seat, especially in July and August.
