The City Council of Santa Cruz de Tenerife allocates 220,000 euros to the sixth edition of the Consumption Vouchers, with 20,800 titles offering discounts of up to 40% in shops, restaurants, and services across the five districts.

The sixth edition of the Consumption Vouchers in Santa Cruz de Tenerife kicks off with a municipal investment of 220,000 euros. The campaign will sell a total of 20,800 titles between July and November, with discounts reaching 40% of the voucher's value. The aim, according to Mayor José Manuel Bermúdez, is to "strengthen local commerce and facilitate savings for families."

Two modalities to encourage consumption in all districts

The campaign is divided into two types of vouchers. The Santa Cruz Consumption Vouchers consist of 16,000 units of 25 euros each: the City Council contributes 10 euros and the consumer pays 15. Each person can purchase up to four vouchers, distributed initially by districts: Centro-Ifara (7,500), Salud-La Salle (4,400), Suroeste (2,200), Ofra-Costa Sur (1,500), and Anaga (400). The distribution may be adjusted according to demand.

The second modality is the Sunday Vouchers, with 4,800 titles also priced at 25 euros, funded 50% by the City Council and the buyer. Each user can buy up to two vouchers per Sunday, with a limit of six throughout the campaign. According to the CEO of the Development Society, Carmen Pérez, "Sundays coincide with a greater presence of visitors and cultural activities, making this modality an opportunity for merchants."

Schedule and how to participate

The website www.bonoconsumosantacruz.com will be operational from July 16 for interested establishments to sign up. Consumers will be able to purchase the vouchers starting from August 4 through the same platform. Once acquired, they can be redeemed by presenting the DNI or NIE at any of the participating shops until November 2.

Self-employed individuals, micro-enterprises, and SMEs with a public establishment in Santa Cruz de Tenerife can join the campaign, provided their activity is included in the program's guidelines. Mayor Bermúdez estimates that the initiative will mobilize around 520,000 euros in direct consumption in local commerce. "Every euro we allocate translates into more activity for our shops and more movement in our streets," he stated.

For the residents of Santa Cruz, this campaign represents relief during the September slump and an opportunity to support local small businesses. The vouchers can be used in restaurants, services, and nearby shops, reinforcing the commercial fabric of the city. The previous edition was already a success, with high demand that exhausted the titles in just a few days.

As a practical detail, interested parties should be attentive to the sale date: August 4 at 10:00 am, when online purchasing will be enabled. It is recommended to register in advance on the website to expedite the process. Additionally, those without internet access can receive assistance at the information points that will be set up in the districts.
