Puerto Rican artist Brytiago headlines Puerto Joven on July 10 at Los Pozos beach, with free access and performances by local artists.

On Friday, July 10, Los Pozos beach in Puerto del Rosario will become the epicentre of urban music in the Canary Islands. Puerto Rican singer Brytiago, known for hits like 'Bebé' and 'Punto G', will offer a free concert as part of the Puerto Joven festival, organised by the Youth Department of the Puerto del Rosario City Council and the Cabildo of Fuerteventura, with production by the Canary promoter DN7 Music.

A Commitment to Free Urban Music in Fuerteventura

The event will kick off at 20:00 on the waterfront avenue of the capital of Fuerteventura. In addition to Brytiago, the lineup includes local artists Rodrigo Fénix and WOS Las Palmas, who will perform as opening acts, along with guest Eleder. The organisers expect a large turnout, as the event is completely free until capacity is reached.

Brytiago, whose real name is Bryan Cancel Santiago, was born in Carolina (Puerto Rico) in 1992 and rose to fame in 2016 after signing with El Cartel Records, Daddy Yankee's record label. Since then, he has collaborated with figures such as Ozuna, Anuel AA, Bad Bunny, and Farruko, amassing hundreds of millions of streams on digital platforms. Billboard included him in 2016 among the most promising emerging Latin artists.

International and Local Talent Gather at the Beach

The Puerto Joven festival aims to bring top-level music to the island's youth at no cost. The combination of an international headliner with local artists reinforces the City Council's commitment to urban culture. “We want the young people of Fuerteventura to enjoy great shows without having to leave the island,” municipal sources state.

The promoter DN7 Music, responsible for bringing Brytiago, has previously worked on other urban music events in the archipelago. Their goal is to position the Canary Islands as a must-stop on the genre's tours. For the local audience, it is a unique opportunity to see an international star without paying for entry and in a privileged beach setting.

A Friday Plan for the Whole Family

The concert will take place outdoors at Los Pozos beach, an iconic location in Puerto del Rosario. It is recommended to arrive early to secure a spot, as capacity is limited. The event starts at 20:00 and entry is free. The weather forecast for that date predicts clear skies and pleasant temperatures, ideal for enjoying music at sunset.

With initiatives like this, Puerto del Rosario is establishing itself as a cultural destination for the Canary summer, where urban music and the beach go hand in hand. After all, sometimes the best things on the island come at no extra cost.
