AEMET forecasts a Sunday of abundant clouds in the capital of Gran Canaria, with temperatures reaching 28 degrees and northern winds.

The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has updated its forecast for Sunday, July 19, in the capital of Gran Canaria. Las Palmas de Gran Canaria will wake up to a covered sky that will remain so for much of the day, according to official data from the state agency.

Maximum temperatures will reach 28 degrees, a value very similar to that recorded on Saturday. Minimums, on the other hand, will be around 23 degrees, ensuring a mild night for residents and visitors of the city.

The wind will blow from the north throughout the day, a common phenomenon in the area that helps maintain a feeling of freshness during the central hours of the day. The maximum thermal sensation will remain at 27 degrees, slightly below the actual temperature.

Monday will bring more clouds and similar temperatures

Looking ahead to Monday, AEMET predicts a day with clouds from early on, although the situation will improve from midday. The sky will gradually clear, giving way to a sunnier afternoon.

Temperatures will remain stable, with highs of 28 degrees and lows of 23. The wind will continue to blow from the north, with no significant changes compared to Sunday. Residents of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria will be able to enjoy a pleasant day for strolling around the city or the beach.

Tuesday, persistent cloudiness without rain

On Tuesday, the cloudy trend will continue, although AEMET rules out any possibility of rain. Temperatures will drop slightly, with a maximum of 26 degrees and a minimum of 22. The northern wind will continue to be the main feature.

For those with outdoor plans, the recommendation is to bring a light jacket for the early hours of the morning, as the cloudiness may make the thermal sensation feel a bit cooler. Tuesday will be the coolest day of the week in the capital of Gran Canaria.

AEMET's forecast is based on data from weather stations and prediction models, and may be adjusted in the coming hours. Readers can check the agency's official website for real-time updates.
