Ten teams of children, youth, and adults participated on Saturday at the Municipal Football Field of Mogán in the first edition of the Kids Summer Games, an activity organized by Evensur Eventos and the Town Hall as part of the Fiestas del Carmen in Playa de Mogán.

The Municipal Football Field of Mogán became the venue on Saturday, July 25, for the first edition of the Kids Summer Games, an event that brought together ten teams made up of children, youth, and adults for a day of family bonding and sports. The initiative, organized by Evensur Eventos & Producciones and promoted by the Town Hall of Mogán, was part of the programming for the Fiestas del Carmen in Playa de Mogán.

The activity kicked off at 9:00 AM with a festive atmosphere where the youngest participants were the stars. Throughout the morning, the teams faced various challenges that combined skill, coordination, and sportsmanship, such as cooperative dynamics, balance exercises, and obstacle races. All designed to encourage fun and collaboration among the participants.

“Beyond the challenges and tests, what was experienced was a true celebration of togetherness, where families supported, cheered, and shared experiences they will always remember,” highlighted the Councillor for Sports Events, Luis Becerra, who also participated in one of the teams.

The success of this first edition adds to the two previous editions of the Summer Games held in Arguineguín, which served as a precedent for bringing an adapted version for younger participants to Playa de Mogán. The reception was excellent, according to municipal sources, who emphasize the involvement of families and the efforts of each team's captains.

Becerra wanted to thank “the enthusiasm of each participant, as well as the involvement of the families. I also want to highlight the work of the captains of all the teams and Evensur, whose work and dedication were reflected in this event created especially for the municipality of Mogán.”

The councillor announced that the Kids Summer Games will return in 2027 “to continue offering healthy, participatory, fun experiences filled with values to enjoy with family and friends.” The event, which consolidates itself as a commitment to active leisure and social cohesion, reinforces the summer activity offerings on the coast of Mogán.

The challenges were designed for all ages, allowing parents and children to participate together in a safe and controlled environment. The day concluded without incidents and with the commitment to repeat the experience next year.

For the residents and visitors of Mogán, such events represent an opportunity to enjoy leisure time with family, promoting healthy habits and a sense of community. The Town Hall encourages participation in future editions and to stay tuned for the programming of the upcoming festivities.
