The island will host the 37th edition of this multidisciplinary event from November 22 to 25, combining asphalt, sand, and volcanic landscapes across four stages. The organisation is managed by Club La Santa.

The Lanzarote International Running Challenge, one of the longest-standing multidisciplinary events in Europe, will celebrate its 37th edition from November 22 to 25. Organised by Club La Santa, the event offers four days of competition where the island's volcanic landscape takes centre stage. Runners from over 30 nationalities will gather for this event that combines running, nature, and a social atmosphere.

The event kicks off on Saturday, November 22, with the 10K Vince Regan Memorial, a fast course on asphalt. The following day, participants will face the 13K Ridge Run, which takes place on volcanic trails. The third day, Monday 24, includes the 5K Beach Run on the sands of Playa de Los Pocillos, and Tuesday 25 concludes with the half marathon of the 21K La Vuelta de Tinajo, the ultimate test of versatility.

The format of the event allows both recreational runners and elite athletes to enjoy the experience. The distances are accessible and the terrains vary each day, offering a unique opportunity to discover Lanzarote through running. Club La Santa ensures a top-notch service, with refreshments, timing, and medical assistance throughout all the events.

As a prelude, on Saturday, November 21, the Club La Santa Night Run will take place, a night race under the stars around the circuit of La Laguna de La Santa. Participants can choose between two distances, 4K and 7K. This event, along with the Lanzarote International Running Challenge, has been part of the official calendar of the Real Federación Española de Atletismo (RFEA) since last year, granting official recognition to both competitions.

Moreover, the 10K is certified, allowing athletes to officially record their times. This detail is particularly relevant for those looking to meet participation requirements in other competitions that demand minimum times. The certification adds competitive value to the event, which already attracts runners from around the world.

The Lanzarote International Running Challenge is not just a competition, but also a social experience. Participants can share their days with runners from over 30 nationalities in a unique setting. The island's spring-like microclimate, with mild temperatures even in November, contrasts with the cold that affects the rest of the continent at that time, making Lanzarote an ideal destination to close the running season.

Registrations are open on the Club La Santa website, where the complete programme of activities can also be consulted. The organisation recommends booking in advance, given the international nature of the event and the limited spots in some races.
