The Tenerife band Blue Rondo will perform this Thursday, July 30th at 20:30 in the Sala de Arte Los Lavaderos, with free entry, as part of the municipal cycle that is celebrating its tenth anniversary.

The Tenerife group Blue Rondo will offer an acoustic concert this Thursday, July 30th at the Sala de Arte Los Lavaderos, as part of the tenth edition of the Lavaderos Live Music cycle. The event, which will start at 20:30, is free until capacity is reached and is organised by the Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council.

The mayor of the Tenerife capital, José Manuel Bermúdez, has highlighted that "Santa Cruz continues to bet on an open, accessible cultural offer spread across different spaces in the city," because culture "helps to make neighbourhoods more vibrant, fosters encounters between people, and turns our public spaces into stages for talent and creativity."

"The concert by Blue Rondo perfectly represents the spirit of 'Lavaderos Live Music', a cycle that for ten years has turned the Sala de Arte Los Lavaderos into a meeting point for locals, visitors, and music lovers," said the councillor for the Centro-Ifara District, Purificación Dávila.

Dávila emphasised that "the commitment to new music allows us to continue expanding the festival's programming and bring innovative proposals to the public that enrich the cultural offer of the district." The councillor has invited all citizens to enjoy this new event and to continue participating in a cycle that "has already become part of the cultural summer of Santa Cruz."

For this performance, Blue Rondo has prepared a repertoire that will combine newly created compositions with some of the most representative songs from their career, along with several surprises. The concert will feature guitarist Álex Maasvadt as a guest artist.

The group, founded in 2004 by Tenerife bassist David López, began as a personal project to musicalise an art exhibition. Over time, it evolved into a musical project with its own identity, starting live performances in 2014 with the addition of guitarist Jorge Hernández, who also shares the compositional work.

Blue Rondo is characterised by its constant evolution and by combining different instrumental formats, exploring everything from electronic atmospheres to acoustic textures. On this occasion, the group is opting for a more natural and intimate version of their repertoire, giving greater prominence to string arrangements and minimising electronics. On stage will be David López (bass), Jorge Hernández (guitar), Dailos González (percussion), and Álex Maasvadt (second guitar).

The Lavaderos Live Music thus maintains one of the hallmarks that has defined its ten years of history: offering an open, diverse, and quality programme, featuring jazz, singer-songwriter music, world music, pop, rock, and new trends. The cycle, promoted by the City Council through the Culture and Centro-Ifara District areas, celebrates its tenth anniversary this year and has already surpassed one hundred concerts since its inception.

The production of the cycle is managed by Makaron, directed by musician and journalist Rubén Díaz, with the collaboration of the Autonomous Organism of Culture, Dorada Especial, and Aguaria. Interested audiences can head to the Sala de Arte Los Lavaderos, located behind the Hotel Mencey, starting at 20:30.
