The Agüimes Town Council is launching the 'An Outdoor Summer' programme this weekend in Soco Negro, Arinaga, with music, dance, and children's shows for all ages.
Soco Negro in Arinaga will host the first edition of 'An Outdoor Summer' this weekend, an initiative by the Agüimes Town Council aimed at brightening up August weekends with activities for the whole family. The programme kicks off on Saturday, August 1st at 12:00 with a performance by Totó el Payaso, a children's show that promises laughter and fun for the little ones.
In the afternoon, at 16:30, the seaside space will transform into a dance floor with the Bailarinaga session, a free event that includes bachata and salsa workshops, SBK (salsa, bachata, and kizomba) sessions, and live performances. Saturday's events will conclude at 19:30 with a concert by Cuban musician and producer Yet Garbey, who blends his Cuban roots with the energy of the Canary Islands in a sound journey that invites celebration of life.
On Sunday, August 2nd, starting at 10:00, there will be children's water activities, one of the programme's major attractions that will be repeated every Sunday throughout the summer. The little ones will enjoy a playful alternative on the Arinaga coastline. Later in the afternoon, at 16:00, saxophonist Fran Suárez will perform at Soco Negro, followed at 17:00 by local singer-songwriter Rodian, who will provide a grand finale to the weekend.
The 'An Outdoor Summer' programme will take place every weekend in August at various locations throughout the municipality, aiming to offer quality outdoor leisure and invigorate the cultural and social life of Agüimes. Entry to all events is free unless stated otherwise.
