Pájara opens Fuerteventura's first chamber antenna outside Puerto del Rosario, bringing advisory services closer to businesses and freelancers in the south.

The Town Hall of Pájara and the Chamber of Commerce of Fuerteventura have launched the first chamber antenna on the island located outside the capital, Puerto del Rosario.

The municipality of Pájara now has a new business support service in the south of Fuerteventura as of this Thursday. The mayor, Alejandro Jorge, and the councillor for Commerce, Juan José Viera, along with the president of the Official Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Services and Navigation of Fuerteventura, Juan Jesús Rodríguez, inaugurated the chamber antenna installed in the Cosmos Shopping Centre in Morro Jable.

This is the first time that the island's Chamber of Commerce has opened a service point outside Puerto del Rosario. Until now, entrepreneurs, freelancers, and business owners in the south had to travel to the capital to carry out procedures or receive advice. With this antenna, the council aims to bring services closer to the public and avoid those trips.

Alejandro Jorge highlighted during the event that "users will no longer have to travel to Puerto del Rosario to manage procedures." The mayor emphasized that the proximity of services is one of the main objectives of his term. For his part, Juan José Viera described the day as "very important" and reminded everyone that this is the first chamber antenna outside the capital. "This will benefit small and medium-sized enterprises in the south by helping them with advisory matters," he stated.

The president of the Chamber of Commerce, Juan Jesús Rodríguez, pointed out that this initiative "fulfils one of our commitments to the municipality of Pájara" and thanked the involvement of the Town Hall, the Cabildo of Fuerteventura, and the Government of the Canary Islands. The inauguration was also attended by the Councillor for Finance of the Cabildo, Nuria Cabrera Méndez; the General Director of Commerce and Consumption of the Government of the Canary Islands, David Mille Pomposo, and the vice president of the island corporation, Blas Acosta, who showed their support for the initiative.

The new chamber antenna will offer business advisory services, training, digitalisation, internationalisation, and management of aid and subsidies. It is aimed at businesses, freelancers, and entrepreneurs in the municipality. The initiative has been promoted in collaboration with the Cabildo of Fuerteventura, the Government of the Canary Islands, and the AFA Fuerteventura Association.

With this opening, Pájara becomes the first municipality in Fuerteventura, after the capital, to have a Chamber of Commerce service point. Interested parties can visit the Cosmos Shopping Centre in Morro Jable to receive information and assistance without the need to travel to Puerto del Rosario.
