The Technical Committee of the Carnival has selected six works from the 22 submitted for the 2027 edition, dedicated to 'Music'. The winning poster will be chosen by popular vote on August 7.

The Las Palmas de Gran Canaria Carnival 2027, which will be held from January 22 to February 28, now has its six candidates to become the official image of the festival. The Technical Committee responsible for evaluating the proposals met this Sunday and selected the finalist works from a total of 22 submitted.

The authors of the posters defended their works before a committee made up of professionals linked to the Carnival, as well as specialists in marketing, communication, and graphic arts. The jury evaluated each proposal based on its adaptation to the theme of the edition, visual impact, creativity, ability to convey the essence of the festival, and versatility for various promotional media.

The 2027 edition will be dedicated to 'Music', a theme that has inspired the participants. After deliberation, the jury defined the six finalist works, which will be the stars of the official poster selection gala.

The final decision will rest with the public. On August 7, starting at 21:30, the exterior rear of the Alfredo Kraus Auditorium will host a gala open to the public, with limited capacity. During the event, which will be broadcasted by Televisión Canaria, attendees and viewers will be able to vote live to choose the poster that will officially represent the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria Carnival 2027.

With this participatory system, the Carnival once again aims to involve the public in one of the most important decisions of each edition. Fans will be able to decide the image that will announce a festival that brings together thousands of people every year and projects the name of the Gran Canaria capital both within and outside the Islands.

The deadline for submitting works has now closed, and the focus is on the gala on August 7. The six finalists will be revealed that night, and the public will have the opportunity to see the designs and vote for their favourite. The winning poster will be the visible face of a carnival that promises to be massive.

For the residents of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, this event represents an opportunity to actively participate in the selection of a symbol that will be displayed on streets, stages, and media. The gala will be a festive event in itself, with free entry until capacity is reached, and a large turnout is expected.

The Las Palmas de Gran Canaria Carnival is one of the most important festivals in the archipelago, attracting visitors from all over the world each year. The selection of the poster is the first major milestone on the path to the celebration, and citizen involvement reinforces the participatory nature of the festival.
