The Gran Canaria Philharmonic Orchestra will close the 30th TEMUDAS Festival with a concert at the Boluda Maritime Corporation terminal on September 26. Tickets, priced at 15 euros, include shuttle transport from El Muelle.

The Gran Canaria Philharmonic Orchestra (OFGC) will be responsible for bringing the curtain down on the thirtieth edition of the International Theatre, Music and Dance Festival of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (TEMUDAS) with a concert that has already become an unmissable event: the 'Concert among Containers'. This event will take place on September 26 at the Boluda Maritime Corporation Container Terminal, an industrial venue that hosts hundreds of spectators each year.

Tickets for this event, which will go on sale this Friday, July 31, via the website lpacultura.com, are priced at a flat rate of 15 euros. This amount includes not only access to the concert but also transport on the special shuttles provided by Guaguas Municipales from the El Muelle Shopping Centre, facilitating access to a port venue that is normally closed to the public.

Under the baton of Karel Mark Chichon, the principal conductor of the OFGC, the orchestra will perform a programme titled 'La forza del destino', named after Verdi's opera. The repertoire will include the overture from 'La forza del destino' to the Suite from 'The Firebird' by Stravinsky, featuring pieces that, according to the orchestra, traverse states such as vitalistic, fatalistic, luminous or liberating. The OFGC has announced that in the coming weeks it will provide more details about the programme on its page available at lpatemudasfest.com.

This concert marks the fifteenth collaboration between the OFGC and TEMUDAS, and the thirteenth held in the port environment. The tradition was only interrupted in 2020 and 2021 when pandemic restrictions forced the event to be moved to Santa Catalina Park. Since its inception in 2012, the 'Concert among Containers' has established itself as one of the festival's most avant-garde offerings, thanks to the collaboration of Boluda Maritime Corporation and the Port Authority of Las Palmas, which opens a space normally barred to the passage of spectators.

The festival, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary, has been unveiling its programme in recent weeks. In addition to the OFGC concert, tickets are already on sale for the opening event, 'Afanador' by the National Ballet of Spain, winner of the 2025 Max Awards, and for the premiere of 'Liberté, the awakening of being', by the Canary Islands company Rocío Pozo. Both shows are co-productions of the Auditorium and Theatre Foundation, and tickets can be purchased through the usual channels of the entity.

For attendees of the 'Concert among Containers', the experience goes beyond music. The port environment, with cranes and containers as a backdrop, offers a unique aesthetic that has allowed for the capture of iconic images of the festival. The shuttles from Guaguas Municipales, included in the ticket price, ensure comfortable access to a location that cannot be reached by other means of transport.

Tickets can be purchased from 00:00 hours on Friday, July 31, at lpacultura.com. It is recommended to buy them in advance, as they have sold out quickly in previous editions. For more information about the complete TEMUDAS programme, the official festival website can be consulted.
