The aurinegro team will play 27 matches between late September and early January, at a pace of one game every three days, except for the FIBA Window break in November.

The La Laguna Tenerife is preparing for a relentless start to the 26/27 season. The team led by Jaka Lakovic will play no less than 27 matches in the first 100 days of competition, between September 26 or 27 and January 2 or 3, 2027. A schedule that combines the Liga Endesa and the Eurocup, with barely any rest between matches.

An October in full swing

The whirlwind kicks off in September, with two matches (one from ACB and another from Eurocup). But the real challenge comes in October, where Canarias could play eight or nine matches, alternating weekends with midweek games. This cadence will force Lakovic to manage his squad's minutes meticulously.

In November, before the break for the FIBA Window (from November 22 to December 5), the team will add another six or seven clashes. This two-week pause will be the only breather of the quarter, although it disrupts the competitive rhythm just as the team starts to hit its stride.

Christmas basketball and a January marathon

December will bring nine confirmed commitments, with matches on significant dates such as the 22nd or 23rd and the 27th or 28th. The team will have little time for festivities, as on the 29th or 30th they will travel to Italy to face Reyer Venezia in the Eurocup. A Christmas 'tour' that tests the physical and mental endurance of the squad.

January starts with an even more frenetic pace: six matches in 14 or 15 days. On January 2 or 3, it’s ACB; on the 5th or 6th, a visit to Cluj in Romania; on the 7th or 8th, back to ACB; on the 9th or 10th, another league match; and on the 12th or 13th, they host Siauliai from Lithuania to close the regular phase of the Eurocup. A true marathon that will push the aurinegros to their limits.

A schedule that sets the course

This demanding start is no coincidence. The 26/27 season brings significant changes, with a new coach and the jump to the Eurocup, which adds more matches than the previous continental competition. The Tenerife team will have to demonstrate its squad depth from day one.

For the Canarias fan, this means more basketball than ever in the coming months. Each week there will be at least two opportunities to see the team in action, whether at Santiago Martín or away. A blessing for supporters, though a headache for the coaching staff.

The good news is that, starting in February, the schedule lightens up, with only the Copa del Rey and playoffs on the horizon. But until then, La Laguna Tenerife will have to survive an initial stretch that will define their aspirations in both competitions.
