The Tenerife Phe Festival will celebrate its eleventh edition on September 4 and 5 in Puerto de la Cruz, with a lineup headed by Fat Dog, Getdown Services, Ibibio Sound Machine, and Phil Hartnoll (Orbital). The festival reinforces its international profile and commitment to sustainability.
The municipality of Puerto de la Cruz is preparing to host a new edition of the Tenerife Phe Festival, which this year reaches its eleventh installment with a programme that its organisers describe as the most international in its history. The event, which will take place on September 4 and 5, was officially presented this Wednesday at an event attended by the mayor, Leopoldo Afonso, and the councillor for Culture and Tourism, Desiré Díaz, among other authorities.
The musical lineup will be led by bands such as Fat Dog, Getdown Services, Ibibio Sound Machine, and Bodega, joined by names like Natalia Doco, Barry B, Carlos Ares, Rufus T. Firefly, Arxx, Faeda, Ona Mafalda, VVV [Trippin’ You], EZEZEZ, Choclock, Xerach, Belice, Good Franco, Just Becca, and Pequeña Alaska. The music will be distributed across two main stages for live concerts and a third space dedicated to electronic music, Phe Club, which will feature figures such as Phil Hartnoll, founding member of Orbital; Alexis Taylor, vocalist of Hot Chip; Roman Flügel, and Yung Prado.
Mayor Leopoldo Afonso highlighted during the presentation that “Tenerife Phe Festival has established itself as one of the most recognisable cultural events in our municipality and as a project that connects music, youth, creativity, sustainability, and international projection.” Afonso emphasised that “Puerto de la Cruz once again demonstrates its capacity to host top-level cultural proposals that attract local, island, national, and international audiences.”
The mayor added that “Phe Festival is not just a musical event, but a city experience that activates spaces, fosters coexistence, stimulates the local economy, and projects a contemporary, open, and creative image of Puerto de la Cruz.” In this regard, he thanked “the work of the organisation, the support of institutions, and the involvement of cultural, commercial, and citizen agents that make it possible for the festival to continue growing without losing its identity.”
For her part, the councillor for Culture and Tourism, Desiré Díaz, stated that “Phe Festival fully aligns with the cultural and tourism model we want to continue promoting from Puerto de la Cruz: a city that sees culture as a driving force for encounter, development, participation, and differentiation.” Díaz highlighted that “the parallel programming allows the festival to engage with public space, emerging artists, sustainability, urban sports, and new ways of experiencing the city.”
One of the key features of this edition will be Phe Gallery, which in 2026 celebrates its ninth edition and moves its main exhibition to the Eduardo Westerdahl Museum of Contemporary Art (MACEW), located in the Customs House next to the fishing dock. The exhibition will be open from August 7 to September 6 and will bring together projects by emerging artists who use art as a tool for reflection, critical dialogue, and social transformation. The programme will be complemented by Gallery Talks, a series of activities, talks, artistic encounters, project presentations, and guided tours.
The festival maintains its commitment to sustainability through Phe Circular, which will hold an educational day on the environment and sustainability aimed at families on August 29. The programme includes discussions, presentations, podcast recordings, creative activities, and a collaborative underwater cleaning action around the Puerto de la Cruz dock.
Additionally, there are other established experiences such as Phe Yoga, which will celebrate its seventh edition on the morning of Saturday, September 5; the BMX Water Jump, a unique competition in the Canary Islands returning to the fishing dock on Friday, September 4; urban sports programming at the San Antonio skatepark and in the Plaza del Escultor Ángel Acosta Martín; and Phe Wine, a proposal that connects culture, gastronomy, and local products through a selection of Tenerife wines and city-related encounters.
The organisation reminds us that Phe Festival has accumulated over 67,000 attendees throughout its history, with audiences from 22 countries and 17 autonomous communities, generating over 300 jobs each year, more than 700 mentions in press, radio, and television, and a digital community that exceeds 40,000 followers. Furthermore, the festival has been recognised for the second consecutive year with the international certification A Greener Future, which attests to its commitment to environmental and social sustainability.
This edition will also incorporate a solidarity dimension in response to the humanitarian emergency caused by the recent earthquake that has affected a region yet to be specified, according to the organisers.
Tickets for the Tenerife Phe Festival 2026 are already on sale on the official event website, with passes and day tickets available. The festival thus consolidates itself as an unmissable summer event in the Canary Islands, combining music, art, sport, and ecological awareness in the unique setting of Puerto de la Cruz.
