The Plenary of the City Council of Puerto del Rosario has initially approved an ordinance that unifies the documentary requirements for building licenses, aiming to reduce deadlines and provide legal certainty.
The Plenary of the City Council of Puerto del Rosario has given initial approval to the Ordinance regarding the documentary requirements for the processing of certain applications for urban planning building licenses. The new regulation seeks to expedite administrative processing and offer greater legal certainty to both residents and professionals in the sector.
The ordinance responds to the need to clarify and unify the documentation that must accompany applications for licenses for actions covered by the Law on Building Regulation and the Technical Building Code. With this initiative, the council establishes a clear framework regarding the documentary requirements from the start of the procedure, reducing the requirements for rectification arising from incomplete files.
The mayor of Puerto del Rosario, David de Vera, has highlighted that this ordinance represents an important step towards modernising the urban management of the City Council. "Our goal is for those who wish to build or promote an action in the municipality to know from the very beginning what documentation they must present, avoiding unnecessary delays and providing a clearer, more agile and secure procedure for all," he stated.
For her part, the councillor for Urban Planning and Planning, Ana Hernández, explained that the regulation arises from the experience accumulated over the last few years. "Many files suffered delays due to the lack of essential documentation. With this ordinance, we unify criteria, facilitate the work of technicians and provide citizens and professionals with a clear guide that will allow for faster and more secure processing of licenses," she affirmed.
The new ordinance regulates in detail the general and technical documentation that must be submitted alongside applications, establishes homogeneous criteria for their organization and format, incorporates standardized models, and includes new instruments, such as a municipal technical report on possible sectoral impacts. This report is intended to help interested parties understand in advance the authorizations or sectoral reports that may be necessary before applying for a license.
All of this will contribute to reducing incidents during processing and providing a more efficient administrative response. The ordinance also incorporates tools that will simplify the relationship between the administration and the administered, reinforcing transparency and legal certainty.
After its initial approval, the text will be subjected to the corresponding public information period for the submission of allegations and suggestions before its final approval, in accordance with the legally established procedure. Interested parties will be able to consult the document and submit their contributions during the determined period.
This measure directly affects the citizens and companies of Puerto del Rosario that need to process urban planning licenses, as from its entry into force they will have a clear guide and standardized models that will prevent delays due to lack of documentation.
