The square of El Médano hosts this Friday, July 31, a new edition of 'Sensations Summer Flavours' with the participation of 30 gastronomic establishments and wineries. The event offers free bus service.

The square of El Médano, in Granadilla de Abona, becomes this Friday, July 31, the gastronomic epicentre of southern Tenerife with the celebration of a new edition of 'Sensations Summer Flavours'. The event, organised by the Employment and Local Development Agency of the Granadilla de Abona City Council, brings together 30 establishments including restaurants, taverns, pastry shops, and wineries from the region.

The initiative starts at 18:00 and continues until 02:00 in the morning. Attendees will be able to taste tapas, sweets, and wines made with local products, distributed in tents set up in the square. Prices range from 1 to 5 euros, and the tritan cup, a more sustainable material, costs 2 euros. The council has installed three glass recycling bins inside the square to facilitate recycling.

The evening will be enlivened with music from the start. Around 19:00, there will be a small presentation with the participants of the Windsurfing World Championship, followed by performances from 'Tribute to Adele', 'Tribute to Fito', and 'Not a Fool's Hair'.

The councillor responsible for the area, Carmen Delia Mesa Cabrera, invites the public to come to the coastline of the municipality to “enjoy a world of sensations, share and taste local products as the best way to promote our own, as it is a gastronomic showcase where restaurants, taverns, and pastry shops from the area can showcase themselves.”

To facilitate access, the Granadilla de Abona City Council has launched a free bus service with two routes. The first departs from Granadilla town, at La Recova, with stops at Los Llanos, San Isidro, and Playa Chica in El Médano. The second leaves from Los Abrigos, from the roundabout next to the bus stop, passing through Sotavento, La Tejita, and up to Playa Chica. The transport will operate from 18:00 to 03:00. Additionally, the council has requested TITSA and the taxi service to reinforce their routes for this day.

Consumptions can be paid for with any electronic means or in cash, as there is no ticket sales. This speeds up payment and avoids crowds, according to municipal sources.

Participating establishments include Pastelería La Canela, Madre Mía, Bar Cafetería Asi, Bar Cafetería Villamar, Cafetería Mallorking, Stana Sushi and Poké, El Puentito, Victoria’s, Gomeralia Catering, Salvaje La Tejita, Hamburguesería Perropilas, Virxen da Barca, Restaurante Pizzería Flaviano, Cocina Mamá, La Postrería, and Casa Manuela. The wineries participating are Frontos, La Vera, Cumbres de Abona, El Silencio, Mencey de Chasna, Bodega Arese, Bodega Reverón, Vera de la Fuente, Lagar de Chasna, Hermanos Mesa, Laja Blanca, Lacasmi, and Bodega Comarcal Valle de Güímar.

The event counts with the collaboration of the Regulatory Council of the Denomination of Origin of Abona and Sermugran. For more information, interested parties can consult the municipal website www.granadilladeabona.org or the Facebook page of Sensaciones Granadilla.
